SIX FOOT RED ROSES SET THE STAGE FOR A GREENER PLANET
Orlando, FL-November 20, 2009-Six foot red roses certified by the Rainforest Alliance and sold exclusively by Organic Style, set the stage for Al Gore’s “Green Solutions” VIP ticketed event focused on raising public awareness of the growing need for environmental sustainability.
As a leading voice in the organic movement, Organic Style agreed to donate these one of a kind roses and a variety of certified organic floral arrangements to the November 14th event in Boca Raton, FL.
“Our six foot roses, grown completely naturally, are a symbol of what is possible. Our goal is to educate and inspire consumers to make responsible choices. If you are going to buy flowers from one of the national flower marketers for $29.99 why not buy from Organic Style for that same $29.99 and do something good?” explains Organic Style’s CEO, Robert McLaughlin.
Organic Style is an example of a company doing good while doing well and mirrors the “Green Solution” message. Through its website, organicstyle.com, the e-tailer sells floral arrangements, gourmet treats, organic cotton and home accessories; each product having a social or environmental benefit.

Highlights to be proud of:
In 2008, Organic Style chose to address the issue of families working near the mills not able to afford to send both sons and daughters to school. Organic Style agreed to purchase scrap remnants from the cotton mill where our sheets are manufactured and pay to have them sewn into bags that we use to package our sheets and other gift items. The agreement to purchase the scrap material produced enough funds to send 300 girls to school for the first time. We are proud to say that this project continues today. If you have purchased a product from Organic Style and it arrived in a cotton bag, you know you have helped educate a child.
Andean Highlands, Ecuador
This year, Organic Style added an outreach program aimed at helping the farmers in the Andean Highlands of Ecuador finance the purchase of flower seeds. Organic Style financed 100% of the seeds empowering these farmers to grow an exportable crop and make a fair livable return, all while preserving the local ecosystem.
Andean Highlands, Ecuador & Colombia
In 2010, Organic Style will expand their outreach program to include a no interest loan to finance the cost of certification. This program will further contribute to the economic and environmental sustainability within the region.
