Position Description
- Direct and develop all aspects of the accounting and finance department
- Perform Vendor Management and Accounting Platform renewal/setup functions
- Demonstrate independence, excellence and integrity in decision-making and business judgment
- Prepare monthly financial package for the directors and executive management
- Establish or recommend to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives and policies
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting financial investments and plans
- Provide management with reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
- Establish financial reporting systems and controls to ensure accurate measurement of financial results and ensure sound internal controls
- Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
- Assist in preparing annual information needed to maintain adequate insurance coverage
- Arrange for annual reviews of company's accounts
- Oversee external audit planning and interface with the auditors as needed
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
- Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions
Position Requirements
- E-commerce, retail or catalog, experience preferred
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA or CPA required
- 10-15 years experience in Finance/Accounting
- Possess strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting, strategic planning, contract management and risk assessment
- Sound technical skills and experience in financial reporting, forecasting, modeling and analysis, cash flow management with a strong operational focus
- Excellent ability to analyze risks and recommend controls to mitigate those risks
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to make sound business decisions
- Strong consolidation and technical accounting experience
- Ability to perform hands-on tasks as well as think strategically
- Prior experience in multiple business operations or public accounting required
