This job is currently located in San Rafael, CA and may relocate to Petaluma, CA. Candidates should live within reasonable proximity to both San Rafael and Petaluma as telecommuting will not be considered for this position; however, domestic and international travel is expected 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the direction and management of operations in both domestic and international facilities
- Responsible for all inventory, warehouse, and fulfillment management and oversight of customer service
- Lead the efforts to identify, implement, maintain and support of the systems architecture for ERP, WMS, and IMS solution
- Assess, select, and implement a new e-commerce platform
- Ensure optimal cost, highly available, high performance and scalable eCommerce infrastructure
- Develop methodologies to manage systems performance and capacity for growth
- Participate in the selection and timing of project or program investments based on the organization's strategic plan and available resources
- Present proposed technical solutions and other materials to various teams within the organization
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers, management, vendors, and interested parties to meet goals
- Draft and implement critical processes and procedures based on industry best practices
Qualifications
- E-commerce, retail or catalog, experience preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years in operational and finance related role
- Minimum 4 year college degree
- MBA not required but a huge plus
- Extensive experience with very strong inventory/supply chain/vendor Management skills relevant to a direct-to-consumer business
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail and great follow-through capacity
- Developed negotiation skills
- Excellent ability to analyze risks and recommend controls to mitigate those risks
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to make sound business decisions
- Ability to perform hands-on tasks as well as think strategically
- Prior experience in multiple business operations required
