So.....you and your special someone share a love for nature!!!
Here is all you need to have an Eco-friendly Wedding Day!
Attire- Comfortable, loose natural clothing. Have attendants wear casual comfortable clothing. You will want to wear cotton or linen. Remember that polyester is hard on the environment and other fabrics are not animal friendly.
Flowers- Wildflowers or daises, tied in a loose bunch. You will want the flowers to look freshly picked and natural. Make sure all flowers are pesticide free. You can order them from a local supplier or try organicbouquet.com
Favors- Here is a great idea for favors. Give each attendant the gift of a flower. Hand them a batch of seeds they can plant at home. Or make a donation to a charity in their name.
Setting- The perfect place for an eco-friendly wedding is the woods, parks or under your favorite oak tree. Make sure you have plenty of eco-friendly bug spray!
Reception- Try your hardest not to throw anything away! Use bio-degradable supplies and linen table cloths. (yes, they have them in color)
Menu- Serve organic foods to your guest! Have a blast picking out some vegetarian options and wine. Think lighter fare that will mesh with the beauty of your surroundings.
Invitations- make sure your invitations are recyclable and printed on recycled paper!
During the ceremony plant a tree and make a vow to return and plant trees at anniversaries or to celebrate the births of children.
You can even release butterflies during the ceremony!
Until your next Occasion!
